Little Rey’s just discovered the magic of storytelling. She excitedly makes little comic books out of paper and crayons.

INT. HIGH SCHOOL BIOLOGY CLASS - DAY

Rey sneaks out of class to write screenplays in the backroom of the film classroom. It’s not subtle, but she slips out the back door…

SATIRE

I try really hard to be funny. Sometimes it works and sometimes I go home and cry into my bedsheets. I started writing satire at Northwestern with Sherman Ave and The Deep End. Currently, I’m taking classes at the Annoyance Theatre to sharpen my comedic skills. Punchlines are still hard for me though like sometimes I just don’t know how to end—

ACTIVISM

As an Asian-American trans* woman, I take great pride in bolstering the communities I’m a part of. My activism for trans* rights is solely based on advocating for others based on my own experiences.
